{"id":1197,"date":"2021-07-27T10:01:44","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T10:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sebastianbaert.eliott-markus.digital\/expertise\/sparring-partner\/"},"modified":"2021-08-02T17:29:44","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T17:29:44","slug":"sparring-partner","status":"publish","type":"expertise","link":"https:\/\/sebastien-baert.eliott-markus.cloud\/en\/expertise\/sparring-partner\/","title":{"rendered":"Sparring Partner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Unlike an executive coach who takes a purist approach, the <strong>sparring partner offers suggestions, alternative options for action, feedback, and ideas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sparring partner acts as a <strong>training partner in simulating complex<\/strong> (high-stakes decision) or <strong>stressful situations<\/strong> (public speaking, communication, negotiation interviews, performance reviews) whose engagement or resolution can be significantly facilitated and improved by training.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the one hand, feedback from the sparring partner allows management to <strong>measure their strengths and competence areas to reinforce<\/strong>.
